Metallurgical coking, a new field of environmental protection

       On March 21st to 24th, 2018, the "2018 Metallurgical Coking Environmental Protection Comprehensive Treatment and Waste Heat Energy Efficient Use Symposium" was held in Shandong. TUNA’s representatives attended the meeting. The symposium was directed by China Equipment Management Association and was co-sponsored by China National Equipment Management Association Metallurgical Industry International Cooperation Service Center and other related companies. The forum is based on the theme of “Green Development, Steel Blue, Intelligent Manufacturing” to promote steel enterprises to accelerate the implementation of structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading.

The non-electric industry is an area that TUNA is actively expanding. TUNA is also very honored and valued to attend this meeting. Coking industry is one of the important fields of non-electric industry, TUNA has made active exploration and practice on the flue gas treatment of metallurgical coking.

At the meeting, the representative of TUNA made a speech and made a special report on the application of “denitration technology route and catalyst in non-electric industry”. The development history and product technology of TUNA were introduced, especially the low-temperature SCR catalyst developed by TUNA, which is suitable for coke oven flue gas, and its applicable temperature window is 180~420℃. Among them, it has the advantages of high denitration efficiency, good water resistance and sulfur resistance, low ammonia escape, etc. In the system design, a whole drawer-type, modular tar adsorption device is adopted, which uses stainless steel wire mesh as the adsorption medium, which is conducive to adsorbing tar in flue gas, thereby improving the stability of the system and the service life of the catalyst life. In addition to low-temperature SCR catalysts, our company has also developed dioxin removal catalysts suitable for iron and steel sintering industry, and 60×60 cell honeycomb SCR catalysts suitable for gas turbine, ship, distributed energy and other non-electric industries, which can effectively solve the problem of nitrogen oxide emissions in non-electric industries.

       At this meeting, TUNA also exchanged and shared experiences with many metallurgical and coking enterprises and other technical equipment manufacturers. With joint efforts, we believe that non-electric industry will make a major breakthrough in environmental protection and green development.
